The Ayubowan Women's Project is a charitable organization based in Sri Lanka that helps women restore livelihoods lost in the devastating tsunami of December, 2004. Some women in the AWP sew monk-style bags. Profits from the sale of the bags return to the community to fund new employment and educational opportunities for women. The monk bags are available online at ayubowanwp.org.
